Teaching from my home studio gives me the freedom to make thoughtful choices about scheduling, curriculum, and teaching methods. I use established materials and a structured approach while remaining attentive to the individual students I teach.

Learning Should Be Fun
Games are part of the learning process at Dawn Cason Music. Whether we're using cards, board games, or an iPad, students reinforce important musical concepts while enjoying themselves.
Relationships Matter
Getting to know my students is an important part of teaching them. We talk about what's happening in their lives, helping me better understand their needs, personalities, and goals.
Fairness & Understanding
Life happens, and sometimes schedules change. I'll do my best to accommodate lesson changes when my schedule permits, but make-up lessons cannot be guaranteed.
Financial Clarity
Families should know what to expect financially. Tuition is a straightforward, all-inclusive monthly rate, and families receive advance written notice of tuition increases.

Studying music helps students develop responsibility, determination, focus, creativity, confidence, and the ability to perform in front of others.
Most of my students won't become professional musicians, and that's perfectly fine with me! The skills they develop through music can serve them well in school, work, and everyday life.
